I'm Sam Ardley; a hobbyist aerial and landscape photographer based in the UK.

I have been doing landscape photography for around 5 years and I really enjoy using this platform to showcase the beauty of the English Landscape. I studied art and design at college and became interested in photography and really enjoyed the process of capturing and editing photos. I already owned a drone at the time and found this a great tool for getting shots from a different perspective. Since then I have continued to develop my skills and although I do still use my drone, the majority of my images are taken with a camera now. I would say my images are quite varied with anything from wide open landscapes, intimate woodland scenes and the odd bit of macro.

I was born with a rare muscle wasting condition which has worsened over time, this means I am a full time electric wheelchair user and have very little strength in my arms. This obviously makes photography a lot harder but with help I still manage to get out and enjoy my hobby of landscape photography. Access can obviously be a challenge and I‘ve learnt to accept that many of the popular landscape locations just aren‘t accessible. I see this as a positive though because it just makes me more creative and it forces me to find my own unique locations more often than not.
