Here is a tree that I spotted when doing a drone shoot of a nearby reservoir and thought it would make some great images. On this day we had some very changeable conditions and the clouds and the light were constantly changing, it was a really enjoyable couple of hours of photography. This is one of my favourites and I like the bright cheerful mood of it, I also like how the hill is illuminated.
This was one of the rare occasions where I have managed to photograph in fog and what an amazing morning this was. I really like how the trees frame the path and the person walking down the path. The golden ferns and leaves bring the image to life and it just works so well. This is probably the best shot I have taken to date.
This is an older image from September in the Peak District which was my first time photographing heather. The light was fairly strong but I feel that this still works as it really draws attention to these foreground rocks. I also really like the menacing clouds in the background as well as the sun lighting up the fields. The original image was a landscape shot but it just didn’t work, this square crop creates a much more pleasing composition.
